Definition of Chemistry
Chemistry is the study of matter and the changes it can undergo.
Matter can be defined as pretty much everything that exists in the universe. This definition can be applied to very broad examples, such as the amount of carbon in a fossil gradually decaying over millions of years. It can also be applied to very specific examples, such as the formation of a precipitate when two substances react with each other.
Other major branches of science, such as biology and physics, often involve chemistry to explain certain processes. Likewise, chemistry often integrates other branches of science as well
