Exponent and Logarithms

Exponent and Logarithms can be defined as

The power of the base 10 in exponentional term is called Exponent

All numbers are conveniently expressed in power of 10 are called Exponential Term and method of this expression is called Exponential Notation

When the number is written in form of power, then power itself is called Logarithms of a base of given number.

For example in the expression

ax =y

x is the logarithm of y  to the base a,therefore it can be written as

Log ay=x

The logarithm with the base 10 is called Common Logarithm.
